Client Vice President ExCIT Overview: As the Existing Client Innovation Team CVP, you will cultivate and expand our client relationships to ensure business growth, development, and the achievement of WOW customer service. The ExCIT Client Vice President delivers results oriented, strategic consultation to the client base while successfully meeting the strategic expectations in a manner that is beneficial to all parties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Client Vice President:

  • Build and maintain a strong client relationship with an understanding of how to consistently manage that relationship, according to each specific client's goals, needs and characteristics.
  • Entertain clients, creating and executing a plan of scheduled events to guide those efforts, tailored to each client.
  • Be extremely responsive to the needs of clients and brokers.
  • Create a concentrated focus on successfully installing a measurable new hire process for each client encompassed in the greater strategic goal of increasing client enrollment maximizing the return of the plan to both members and employers. This strategy must be developed and continuously improved for existing clients as well as new clients, meeting the goals set forth in a year over year strategy.
  • Actively manage a case load of clients; to strategically provide a WOW level of service, while targeting yearly goals to meet and exceed enrollment thresholds and retention. This includes client visits and building strong client and broker relationships.
  • Manage the client base by critically and strategically leading an employer to solutions.
  • Track all open and escalated issues of clients and meet with proper staff to resolve these items.
  • Must be a "student of the business" that is, be knowledgeable of new developments, practices and trends in our industry and among our competitors.
  • Must possess and keep an up to date an Insurance License.
  • Must be able to prepare and present client presentations that include value propositions, services, fee structures and time frames. Accurately create and deliver interim reporting and renewals to clients.
  • Attend and participate in all Client Services required monthly Consulting Meetings, regular department meetings and training sessions. Responsible for being and staying informed on client issues and initiatives.
  • Baseline Knowledge in all types of benefit plans; including self-funded, fully insured, KeySolution, and Ancillary products.

Client Vice President Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management level staff.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and influence decisions.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of benefit strategy, plan design, pricing, and plan management.
  • Possess or the ability to obtain a Life, Accident & Health Producer Insurance license & complete continuing education yearly to renew license.
  • Project management experience.
  • Requires a broad business perspective and the ability to think and operate strategically.
  • 5+ years of health care insurance experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel required.
