The Director of Human Resources position includes a comprehensive benefit package, training program and competitive salary! This position will work directly with the Vice President of Human Resources.

Director of Human Resources Overview: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for ensuring the delivery of Human Resources services, projects, policies and programs as part of the organization mission and overall talent strategy. The Director of Human Resources will maintain oversight of the department operations and will be responsible for delivering scalable strategies in the areas of recruiting and talent acquisition, employee engagement and well-being initiatives and oversight of employment policies in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Human Resources Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices to attract and retain top talent.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Works with the VP of Human Resources to oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Develop, organize, and review reports and metrics from the human resource information system (HRIS) to analyze trends and provide strategic insight.
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Participates in the development of departmental goals, objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Assists with implementation and maintenance of the company salary program including researching market pay structures, compensation strategies and salary comparisons. Works with management to maintain company guidelines and policies of the salary program.
  • Management of department projects, ensuring delegated tasks remain on track and project goals meet agreed upon deadlines.

Director of Human Resources Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly preferred.
  • Recruiting experience highly preferred.
  • Strong team leader with coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent people management skills including written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Finance or Health Insurance preferred.
