Key Family of Companies is currently seeking a Medicare Part D Sales Representative for Senior Connection at our Evansville, IN 47714 location.  Full benefit package is included for the Medicare Part D Sales Representative position.  

Main Objectives:

The Sales Representative - Medicare Part D works with customers to determine the most appropriate prescription drug plan to coordinate with Medicare coverage and may also provide sales and service for other Medicare plans and supplement policies.This position will be located, in-office, at our Senior Connection office in Evansville, IN.   

Job Responsibilities of the Medicare Part D Sales Representative: 

  • Explain and enroll clients into Medicare drug plans.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the federal Medicare program and supplemental coverage options.
  • Set up and execute end of year Annual Enrollment Period drug plan enrollments.
  • Manages customer relations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
  • Responds to customer inquiries or complaints regarding company products or services.
  • Reviews and researches issues obtaining necessary information from policies, procedures or practices.
  • Follows-up, either verbally or in writing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Documents all customer interactions in Senior Connection database.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of claims department payment and benefit structure.
  • Answers billing and claims questions and issues for clients. Helps resolve matters quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to commute to and from the office when required, for working, meetings, training and conferences.
  • Must obtain and maintain in good standing health insurance license in the States of Indiana and Kentucky.
  • Assist the Vice President with seminars, health fairs and enrollment sessions.
  • Expected to work without direct supervision and use personal judgment in facilitating changes in medical coverage where needed.
  • Handle incoming calls, directing them to appropriate personnel as well as making outbound calls to existing clients on a routine basis.
  • Provide sales and service support for all Medicare plans and supplemental insurance policies as needed.
  • Scans and sends applications to companies for clients; Check policy status of submitted applications.
  • Maintain and update client mailing list.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned. 

 Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Associate Degree (A. A.) preferred, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training in Customer Service or Claims in the medical or insurance industry.
  • Strong customer service skillset including prompt response to all customer needs.
  • Ability to collect and research data to solve problems and provide solutions.
  • Attention to detail and comprehensive follow-up towards resolution of issues.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control.
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Works well in group and autonomously; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
  • Communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time.
  • Presentation skills and the ability to lead seminars is a plus.
