Senior Connection, one of Evansville's most trusted Medicare insurance agencies, is looking for a Medicare Office Manager to join our team as we continue to grow! Competitive compensation and full benefit package is included.

Position Summary: the Medicare Office Manager assists in all aspects of the management and operations of the Senior Connection office, runs reports to keep track of business direction and leads the office team in support of WOW service initiatives. The Medicare Office Manager will lead the office team and be licensed to sell all insurance products in order to provide backup during busy times of the year as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the office team in providing administrative support to the Vice President of Senior Connection while managing confidential information, documents, correspondence and processes.
  • Assist with periodic Medicare plan sales and reviews for potential and current clients, including Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Uploading, scanning, and emailing applications and documentation when necessary.
  • Assist with end of year Annual Enrollment Period, including drug plan input, plan enrollment, and follow up.
  • Assist in the preparation of administrative reports, perform sensitive information gathering and assist VP in monthly and quarterly report production.
  • Assist in and periodically lead the "Welcome to Medicare" and related client seminars.
  • Prepare content for and coordinate timely sending of the quarterly Medicare client newsletter.
  • Work with the VP on marketing initiatives, new business growth strategies and the development of client contacts and presentations in the local area.
  • Handle incoming calls as a point of escalation and makes periodic outbound calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with the company products or services. Follows-up, either verbally or in writing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Create presentations, develop content and communications, edit marketing material and help in the development of brochures and other Company content.
  • Help manage incoming emails and other contacts from the Senior Connection website.
  • Assist in the management of the Senior Connection Facebook page.
  • Reviews and researches issues, inquiries, or complaints and obtains necessary information from policies, procedures or practices to best help reach a positive outcome.
  • Perform special projects and other work-related assignments as assigned.
  • Back up to front desk administrator and drug plan position when necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Management of the office staff to ensure the delivery of WOW customer service at all levels.
  • Works with office staff in support of the sales team and executives to deliver business metrics and processes in support of company growth initiatives.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have or obtain and maintain in good standing a health insurance license in the State of Indiana and Kentucky.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Medicare sales or related insurance experience.
  • Must be, and/or become knowledgeable in all aspects of the federal Medicare program and supplemental coverage options.
  • Must have excellent typing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation ability.
  • Ability to take initiative and lead a successful team.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills for the senior market.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Able to commute to and from the office when required, for working, meetings, training and conferences, including seminars, and health fairs. Some travel required.
