Venefits is looking for a Vice President, Agency Operations to join our team as we continue to grow! This position will be located in the Atlanta, GA. location. Competitive compensation and full benefit package is included.

Position Summary: Responsible for managing an agency and staff of people who provide brokerage and consulting services to clients. Clients include small to large with both fully insured medical, ancillary products and other creative products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coaching and training of Venefits staff, including facilitating Venefits monthly consulting sessions.
  2. HR Management: Recruiting, interviewing and hiring for open positions in conjunction with Producers and VP Operations. Assisting Producers in preparation and delivering annual performance reviews as well as bi-monthly one-on-one coaching sessions. Handling any corrective action plans; creating and maintaining job descriptions.
  3. Budget/Finance: Contribute to annual budget planning for all teams; review and audit as needed, monthly budget and revenue reports; track and submit commission/consulting checks and assist producers when needed with tracking of commission payments. Maintain carrier commission/bonus arrangements. Request and report sold case information and be responsible for ongoing staffing models. Update Venefits OPS monthly on Venefits business indicators; track and report goals.
  4. Communications: Coordinate carrier website training for staff; keep Venefits staff updated on carrier changes; responsible for setting up client training webinars; Update Venefit's website and maintain with industry information; and, keep updated client and carrier contact information for staff.
  5. Oversee Agency Operations; Handle expense report tracking/approvals; oversee agency expenses related to business supplies and travel; assist producers with staffing of client open enrollment meetings; maintain all agency resources, client listings/profiles, online resources; handle escalated client service issues; coordinate between teams with load balancing of work; perform client retention activities, quoting, and meetings; produce management reports as needed for clients/producers; oversee and maintain workflows and processes; and maintain/oversee agent licensing and appointments by coordinating with carriers and maintain client files and archival functions of documents and conduct monthly client satisfaction surveys. Maintain client contracts.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigned Projects as needed to improve processes, marketing and growing business.
  • Continue to participate in Management Development projects as assigned.
  • Make Improvements to Customer Management System.
  • Other duties as assigned
