Key Family of Companies is currently seeking a Cash Desk Team Lead in our Operational Accounting Department at our Indianapolis, IN 46250 location.  Full benefit package included.  

Position Summary: The Cash Desk Team Lead  assists in the oversight and  coordination of the work of the Cash Desk Associates, including troubleshooting timeliness and quality improvement opportunities through metric measurements.  . As a Subject Matter Expert, this position acts as an escalation point and trainer to the team members while working autonomously to handle complex issues according to established guidelines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Processing of electronic transfer of funds for selected clients. This entails receiving electronic transfers of funds, as well as initiating (pulling) funds from client bank accounts into KBA bank accounts. 
  •  Processing of paper checks and lockbox transactions for selected clients. 
  • Perform quality assurance checks on accuracy of premium posting and record keeping. Assist in developing 3rd party auditing processes and performance management programs for the Cash Posting job functions. 
  • Training in selected areas of RIMS, KBAS, Access, Great Plains, self-audit and other systems as assigned or requested. 
  • Answering internal/external e-mails as they pertain to receiving or logging of payment. 
  • Work with Billing & Eligibility team to resolve account logging issues to facilitate the timely posting of premiums. 
  • Lead weekly cash desk team meetings whereby all cash posting deadlines, progress, issues, and potential improvement projects are reviewed. Track results and open issues from these meetings week to week and report those to Operational Accounting Management. 
  • Report system issues that impact cash desk and work with IT to resolve those issues. 
  • Participate in system release/regression testing to ensure cash desk functions work properly. 
  • Establishing Key Indicator metrics. Monitoring, maintaining and reporting Key Indicator metrics to constantly identify areas of improvement and focus in order to deliver WOW customer service.  
  • Development and maintenance of quality control report mechanisms that alert leadership of any abnormalities of quality or volume as it occurs. 
  • Assist in maintaining team inventory and productivity measurements. 


Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel and Word).
  • Willingness to learn and train on different software packages for automation or efficiency gains.
  • Interpersonal/communication skills are essential.
  • Analytical ability to reconcile and research balances.
  • Likes to work in a fast paced environment.
