Key Benefit Administrators is currently seeking a Commission Specialist within the Agency Services Department to manage and respond to inquiries, requests and special projects providing detailed and exceptional feedback to internal and external clients relating to agent commissions.  This position will be for either our Indianapolis, IN 46250 location or our Fort Mill, SC 29715 location.  Position may have the capability of working from home.  Training may be required in office.  Full benefit package included.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Recognize agents, brokers, consultants and General Agents as KBA's distribution system and an important part of our company's success.
  • Collaborate with Licensing and Appointment Department as needed to ensure proper documentation for agents/agencies to be paid properly.
  • Log requests and inquiries, research and respond back to clients in a timely and professional manner with factual and accurate information. 
  • Answer agency / agent questions as they relate to commissions and carrier payments and cover the agent hotline as assigned.
  • Provide commission audits from cash receipts to commission payments for all carrier relationships
  • Assist AP personnel in commission payment distribution. 
  • Track and assist in implementation of procedures and processes to improve Commission Services Customer Service Specialist tracking. 
  • Assist agents in Portal education: sign on; maneuvering through the website and locating commission statements. 
  • Reporting commission statement issues to the appropriate IT resource for resolution. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Management in conjunction with Operational & Accounting and Licensing and Appointment.

  • Maintain professionalism at all times. 
  • Ability to explain KBA's sales distribution system and why agents are important. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment that is cross-functional and inter-departmental. 
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Identify improvement opportunities and suggest ways to implement WOW customer service to the agents. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word)
